    Hi Fleur,

Congratulations, I have just read the uncorrected proof copy of Red Dust and it is the best book I have read for along time. Could not put it down, just wanted to see the story unfold. Thank you for writing a story which did not need swearing and smut to describe situations and events. I’ll be recommending this book to all my friends and family.

I am looking forward to reading more of your books.

    Kind regards,
    Naomi Jarvis.

  • Kate:

    Hi Fleur,

I bought Red Dust yesterday afternoon at about 2.30pm when I knocked off work and had it finished late last night! Needless to say I didn’t get much done yesterday. It was a great read- I couldn’t put it down. Congratulations, I’m looking forward to reading your second book!

  • Kate:

Oh my gosh.. sounds great! I hate reading usually, but Rachel Treasure and Di Morrisey have got some brilliant books out there about country life and this book sounds like another great one! Is it in Mackay?

  • Hi Kate, yep , should be in Mackay. It’s all the bookshops – Angus and Robertson and Dymocks as well as Target Big W and places like that. Let me know what you think! Fleur

  • Helen Daily:

Helen here! It’s bucketing down here in Blackwood at the moment, to add to the nearly an inch we’ve had in the past two days – very good!
I’ve been meaning to email and congratulate you on the book. It was a very entertaining read, and also took no time at all to wizz thru it. (which is usually a good guide that I’m enjoying the book!)
I really liked the way you portrayed and explained rural and farming life without sounding patronising or know-all about it. Your descriptions were spot-on and show your empathy for the places, people and subject, and a real ability to share this with others in a very open and generous way.
Well done; this is a real credit to you!
    cheers
    Helen

  • Anna Roberts:

    Hi Fleur,
I first came across Red Dust when it was advertised in the May edition of Country Style and thought it sounded like a great read. I promptly stored it in the memory bank for the next trip to the book shop!
I was then away down south on holiday. My husband (a Marcus Old Boy) had chosen his holiday reading …… all the rural papers!!! I promptly went to the Book shop and Red Dust is what I found.
Your book is such an inspiration to rural women, and I can not tell you how much I enjoyed your book. I have only just finished it and feel completely lost not being able to turn over the next page.
Congratulations on your book. It is wonderful to see West Australian women achieving such great things.
    Regards
    Anna

  • Hi Anna
Great to hear from you! Thanks for your comments on Red Dust!
Isn’t it just like a farmer to take the rural papers on holidays? And their laptop to check the weather! When will we manage to get them to knock off or an hour or so?!
Best wishes for a great season,
    Fleur

  • Kate:

    Hi Fleur,
Just finished red dust. It was one of the best books I have ever red. Could not put it down took me about a day to read!! Well done. Can’t wait for the next one!!!

  • Hi Kate

Great to hear from you I’m so pleased you liked Red Dust – I love getting feedback.

  • Georgina Fairfull:

    Hi Fleur
