Check this beehive out! Anthony and I were quietly minding our own business, blowing the header down in readiness for the next day’s harvest and suddenly we were attacked by these bees!

I got stung three times in the head — thankfully I’m not too allergic and that Anthony didn’t get stung, because he is. Then after they caused Anthony to bunker down in the engine of the header and me to run around like a clown trying to get the offenders out of my hair, they settled on this tree branch and fiercely defended their claim. We have now shifted where we blow the header down!

This racehorse goanna is common site around our district. Amazing creature to watch — they run so fast.

The kids and I came across this one sunbaking on the road. We suggested he find a safer spot since the grain trucks wouldn’t swerve for him!
